1. Introduction
Welcome to the Shipp Privacy Policy.
At Shipp, we attach great importance to the privacy and security of our users' personal data. We believe that every connection started through our app should be based on trust, respect and equality. The same principle applies to how we process your personal data.
Shipp is operated by Faryelx OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. In this policy, references to "Shipp", "we", "us" or "our" mean Faryelx OÜ.
This Privacy Policy explains how:
- you use the Shipp mobile application,
- you visit our promotional website, and
- you participate in our campaigns, contests, surveys or other digital services
and in all these contexts how your personal data is collected, processed, stored and protected.
By using Shipp services, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Please read this document carefully before using our services.
2. Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates become effective from the date they are published on the application or our website. In the event of significant or material changes, our users may be notified via in-app notifications or email. The most current version is always the version published by us.
3. What Data Do We Collect?
As soon as you start using Shipp, we collect certain personal data in order to provide you with our services. Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and similar data protection laws, Shipp acts as the data controller for personal data collected and processed through the app.
The type of data collected may vary depending on how you use the app.
3.1. Registration Information
- Email address or phone number (for registration and verification)
- Name / username
- Date of birth (can only be changed once)
- Time of birth (for astrology-based matching, can only be changed once)
- Gender and preferences (for profile creation)
Shipp is only available to users who are 18 years of age or older.
3.2. Profile and Face Verification
- Biometric data used for face verification

Face verification is used to prevent fake accounts, fraud and identity theft and to support a safer community.
3.3. Location Information
- Your device's current location (for providing the matching service)
If you allow location access in your device settings, your location will be updated according to where your device is.
3.4. Messaging Information
- Message content exchanged between users is not automatically analyzed.
- However, if a user reports another user, the relevant messages may be reviewed by AI systems for the purposes of detecting security issues, fraud, sexual abuse, violence or other violations.
3.5. Photos and Bio
- Profile photo (required)
- Bio / "about me" section content
These contents may be checked by AI systems to detect fraud, scams, sexual abuse, violence and other violations of our community guidelines.
Important Information
- Date and time of birth can only be changed once.
- Some of the information in your profile may be visible to other users.
- The type of data collected may vary depending on the actions you perform in the app.
3.6. Registration Information (Extended)
When you download the Shipp application and create an account, we collect certain information to improve the application experience and ensure user verification. This information may include:
- Name
- Username
- Gender identity
- Location information, including instant location taken when the application is opened
- Email address or mobile phone number
- Date of birth
- Time of birth
- Photos, including the mandatory profile photo
- Sexual preference information
After creating your account, you can update most of this information through account settings. However, date of birth and time of birth information can only be changed once. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date, especially if your phone number or email address changes.
3.7. Profile Verification and Identity Verification Information (Extended)
Various verification options may be offered to users to provide a safe environment on Shipp. Phone number or email verification is part of the membership creation process. Profile verification, including additional methods such as face verification, is optional for users and is offered to increase platform security.

- Users may verify their profiles by completing the face verification process if they wish.
Photos sent during the face verification process are compared with your profile photo. This process is carried out using face recognition technology and is performed to determine whether the account belongs to a real person. Biometric data obtained within the scope of face verification is stored for the purposes of ensuring security, preventing fake accounts, and hindering fraudulent activities.
Profile photo is mandatory. In addition, the profile photo and biography area are controlled by artificial intelligence systems for the detection of content contrary to community rules, such as fraud, scamming, sexual abuse, violence, and similar violations. If your account is suspended or closed for any reason, fraud and spam prevention systems can also detect and block similar accounts.
3.8. Purchase Information
If you purchase premium services through Shipp, your payment information is processed and stored for accounting, audit and tax purposes in line with applicable laws.
To prevent fraud, payment transactions may be monitored by automated systems. Suspicious or abusive transactions may be blocked. In such cases, you will be informed and you will have the right to object.
3.9. Premium Services and Subscriptions
While some features are offered for free within the Shipp application, certain features may be offered within the scope of paid subscription packages. Premium services can be purchased through application stores such as App Store or Google Play. Payment transactions are carried out over the payment infrastructure of the relevant platforms, and the storage or processing of payment information is subject to the policies of the relevant platforms.
Premium membership packages may offer additional features to improve users' platform experience, including:
- increasing profile visibility,
- more matching suggestions,
- advanced filtering options.
Premium membership does not offer a direct matching guarantee between users, and matching results may vary depending on the algorithmic recommendation system.
Subscription packages are automatically renewable unless otherwise stated. Users can cancel their subscriptions at any time from the app store account settings. When cancellation is performed, the subscription continues to remain active until the end of the current billing period.
3.10. Paid Services, Subscriptions and Refund Policy
Certain features may be offered through paid subscription packages or one-time purchases within the Shipp application to improve users' experience.
- Purchase and Payment: Users can purchase paid packages via App Store or Google Play. All payment transactions are performed through the payment infrastructure of the relevant app store, and Shipp does not directly store or manage these payment processes.
- Refund Policy: When purchases made through Shipp are canceled, the subscription continues until the end of the current period. Due to the immediate commencement of the service, the right of withdrawal is waived. Technical error or incorrect charging refund requests are inspected by the Shipp team and remain subject to the refund policies of the relevant application store.
- Shipp does not accept arbitrary refunds and reserves the right not to evaluate refund requests where there is a suspicion of abuse, fraud, or policy violation.
- Package Cancellation: Users can cancel purchased packages through app store account settings or the relevant subscription management screen. The service continues until the current subscription period expires.
3.11. Location Information (Detailed)
If you grant location access through your device settings, Shipp takes the instant location information of your device when the application is opened. This data is used for showing nearby users to you, presenting your profile's general location information to other users, and personalizing the matching experience. You can turn off location access at any time from your device settings.
3.12. Device Information
When you use the app we may collect:
- Device identifier (device ID)
- Device model
- Operating system information
- App usage and log records
This data is processed for security, performance improvement and troubleshooting purposes.
3.13. Photo Information
Your profile photos are part of the account creation and matching process. Shipp may perform technical analyses regarding your photos, such as image quality and content suitability, to improve the user experience. These analyses are carried out to ensure community safety and increase profile quality.
3.14. Connection Information
If you click on links within the application, redirection and interaction information may be technically recorded. If you are redirected to third-party links, the privacy policy of the relevant third party will apply.
3.15. Messages
Shipp does not automatically analyze message contents between users. However, in the event of a report by a user, the relevant message contents may be inspected by artificial intelligence systems for the detection of situations such as security, fraud, violence, sexual abuse, and violation of community rules. Message contents are not shared with third parties.
3.16. Feedback, Research and Participation Information
From time to time, you may be contacted for surveys, feedback, or promotional activities to improve the user experience. Such participation is entirely voluntary. If you do not wish to participate, no loss of rights occurs.
3.17. Customer Support Information
When you contact the customer support team, the following data may be processed to resolve your request:
- your IP address,
- your email address,
- the information you share.
User communication records and complaint applications may be stored within the scope of legal obligations.
3.18. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies in the Shipp app and on our website.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the app to function. Others are used to improve the experience and for analytics.

4. How Do We Use Your Information?
Our goal at Shipp is to offer you a safe and enjoyable connection experience. For this purpose, we use your personal data to:
- provide our services and app features,
- inform you about updates and new features,
- personalize the app and its content,
- conduct analysis and research on app usage,
- test new technologies and systems and improve the app,
- resolve disputes and enforce the Terms of Service,
- investigate fraud and protect our legal rights,

Your location data is used to show you nearby users and to provide the matching experience.
4.1. Matching Algorithms
Shipp uses astrology-based and behavioural matching algorithms. In order to estimate compatibility and recommend suitable profiles, our algorithms may use the following:
- information you share in your profile,
- date, place and time of birth,
- your in-app activity,
- your location data,
- your verification status.
If you share content that is contrary to our Terms of Service, your account may be restricted or closed.
4.2. Moderation Practices
Safety is a priority at Shipp. We use automated systems and moderation processes to ensure compliance with our Community Guidelines.
- Profile photos and bio content may be checked by AI systems.
- Message content is not automatically analyzed. However, if a user reports another user, the relevant messages may be reviewed to detect potential violations.
In the event of a violation, you may receive a warning, your account may be restricted, or your account may be permanently closed. Users have the right to appeal such decisions.
4.3. Legal Basis (Within the Scope of KVKK)
Shipp processes your personal data on the following legal bases under KVKK and similar data protection laws:
- performance and conclusion of a contract (providing the Shipp service),
- compliance with legal obligations,
- our legitimate interests (security, preventing fraud, service improvement),
- your explicit consent (e.g. biometric data processing, international data transfers, marketing communications).
Special categories of personal data (such as biometric data or sensitive information voluntarily shared by you) are only processed with your explicit consent.
5. What Information Can Others See?
Shipp enables certain profile information to be visible to other users so that people can connect with each other.
The information, photos and messages you share in your profile are your responsibility. Please be aware that the content you share in the app may be viewed and saved by other users.
We strongly advise you not to share sensitive information (phone number, address, ID details etc.) on your profile.
6. Do We Share Your Data?
Shipp may share your personal data only in the following cases:
Service Providers
- Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g. Microsoft Azure)
- Payment processors
- Verification and security services
- Customer support providers
Any such sharing is limited to what is necessary to provide the service.
Legal Obligations

Shipp stores the personal data of users only for the period necessary for the provision of the service. Information belonging to the user continues to be kept in our systems as long as the account is active.
If the user deletes their account, profile information, photos, and natal chart data are removed from the system within a reasonable period.
However, transaction records, security logs, and fraud prevention records may be stored for a longer period due to legal obligations. These data are stored only in line with legal requirements and security purposes.
7. What Are Your Rights?
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- to learn whether your data is being processed,
- to access your personal data,
- to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,
- to request deletion or anonymization of your data,
- to object to certain processing activities,
- to object to decisions based solely on automated processing,
- to request data portability, where applicable,
- to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling some of these requests.
8. What Happens If You Delete Your Account?
When you delete your account, your profile will no longer be visible in the app.
For a limited period, we may allow your account to be restored in case of accidental deletion. However, certain data may be retained for the duration required by law in relation to:
- tax obligations,
- legal disputes,
- security and fraud prevention records.
9. Data Security (Additional)
Shipp implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data.
However, no method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. For your own safety, we recommend that you:
- do not share your password with anyone,
- use a strong and unique password,
- do not leave your sessions open on shared devices.
10. Age Limit Policy
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Shipp app.
We do not knowingly allow persons under 18 to use the service or knowingly collect data from them. If we determine that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close the account and delete the personal data in accordance with applicable law.
11. Geographical Scope
Initially, the app is intended to be offered primarily within the Republic of Türkiye.
Your personal data may, however, be processed and stored on servers located outside of Türkiye. In such cases, we take appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection laws.
12. Entertainment Purpose Service and Limitation of Liability
Shipp is a social connection app based on astrology-supported matching and daily horoscope content.
Within the app:
- compatibility between users may be calculated based on date, place and time of birth,
- daily horoscopes may be presented,
- astrological compatibility analyses may be shown.
All of these services are provided for entertainment and personal interest only.
Shipp does not:
- guarantee that you will find your soulmate,
- promise a long-term relationship,
- offer any guaranteed result regarding love, marriage or emotional success,
- guarantee the scientific accuracy of any astrological interpretation.
Users use the app at their own discretion and responsibility.
13. Complaint, Notification and Inspection Process
Shipp offers various reporting and feedback mechanisms for users to communicate in a safe environment. A user can report another user in cases such as distressing messages, harassment, fake account, fraud attempt, or inappropriate content sharing.
When a report is created:
- The relevant user account is taken under inspection by the system.
- In necessary cases, messaging occurring between users can be analyzed with artificial intelligence-supported moderation tools.
As a result of the inspection, Shipp reserves the right to send a warning to the user, temporarily suspend the account, or permanently close the account. Inspections performed for the security of users are carried out only in necessary cases.
14. Rights of Users in Türkiye (KVKK)
Regarding users located in Türkiye, personal data are processed within the scope of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). You can contact us to exercise your rights. Identity verification can be performed in line with your request.
